In 1950, the California-Hawaii Elks Association (CHEA) established a dedicated program to support children with disabilities, known as the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc. (CHEMPI). At the heart of this initiative is the Purple Pig, the fundraising arm that makes this vital work possible.
CHEMPI funds a team of 32 professional therapists and preschool vision screeners, who are hired to provide critical care to children in need, especially when other organizations are unable to offer assistance. These dedicated professionals travel—sometimes long distances—to ensure these children receive the specialized care and support they deserve.
Thank you for your generous donations that help make this important work possible!
